New, frequent cross-Cheltenham links on service L from 3rd May 2026
We are pleased to announce some enhancements to our network in Cheltenham and Bishop’s Cleeve. From 3rd May, we will be linking the routes of services L and R together to provide a frequent, cross-Cheltenham link between Leckhampton, Cheltenham, Rowanfield, St Mark’s, Coronation Square and Bishop’s Cleeve. Buses on the new service L will run up to every 30 minutes – a much improved frequency across the day from the current timetables.
Journeys will now be better timed to meet the start and finish times of schools along the route, opening up greater journey opportunities crosstown.
On Sundays, buses will run up to every 30 minutes between Leckhampton, Cheltenham, Rowanfield, St Mark’s and Coronation Square.
Within Cheltenham town centre, buses will continue to leave from Primark and then call at the same places as now towards both Leckhampton (current service L stops) and Bishop’s Cleeve (current service R stops). For journeys across town, you will also now be able to board at earlier stops on the route, for greater accessibility and convenience.
