Payroll Administrator
This is a Part-Time role of 24 hours per week paying between £16,500 – £18,000.
We’re Pulhams Coaches — a long-established, family-focused bus and coach operator based in Bourton-on-the-Water in the heart of the Cotswolds. With a heritage dating back to 1880, we’re proud to be a business that has grown for more than 140 years while still keeping a warm, community-driven feel.
We recently became part of the Oxford Bus Company within the Go-Ahead Group, which is helping us invest in our people, our fleet, and the future of our services. Today, we operate 160 buses and coaches from multiple sites, across a wide variety of work, including local bus routes, home-to-school services, private hire, educational trips, and UK and European tours.

What you’ll do:
- Prepare starter and leaver details for payroll
- Check weekly duty data for accuracy
- Process sickness and holiday pay
- Manage cash shorts and overs for drivers
- Send payroll corrections to Head Office on time
- Review reports and totals before payroll approval
- Handle wage queries promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate payroll records
- Provide payroll information for employees when needed (e.g., mortgages, loans, tax, visas)
- Prepare KPI reports and submit required data to the pensions office

- Calm, pragmatic and able to stay composed under pressure
Desirable:
- Experience with rota systems
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Driving licence for travel between sites
