Pulhams launches special ‘Bus Together’ reduced group ticket for summer holiday travel

Groups of friends and families travelling across the Cotswolds by bus this summer can unlock cheaper travel, thanks to the return of a special discount on an existing group ticket from Pulhams Coaches.

The bus operator’s Bus Together initiative offers a significant discount on its existing CotswoldZone Group Day ticket—enabling up to five people to travel all day for just £15 when purchased via the mobile app.

It represents a £5 saving on the ticket’s standard price, with the offer running until Sunday, August 31, to coincide with the school holidays.

The offer has been launched to reduce travel costs for groups planning a trip in the Cotswolds, while encouraging people to minimise their carbon footprint and opt for sustainable modes of transport.

Locations covered within the CotswoldZone include Cirencester, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Norton, Chipping Campden, Broadway, Bishop’s Cleeve, Winchcombe, Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Alex Chutter, Area Director of Pulhams, hopes the offer will encourage groups of people to get out and explore the best of the Cotswolds this summer.

“We’re so fortunate to live in a region that offers limitless discoveries of rolling hills and quaint countryside,” said Alex.

“We want everyone to experience the best the Cotswolds has to offer while the weather is onside, and children are enjoying the summer holidays.

“It’s why we’ve decided to cut the price of our group day ticket for all CotswoldZone routes.

“Bus travel is not only cost-effective for families and larger groups but reduces our impact on the environment by cutting down on unnecessary journeys. We hope this offer incentivises more people to get out and explore the area this summer.”

In a further boost, Pulhams announced it will operate new specially branded vehicles on weekends and bank holidays, linking Ashchurch Station in Tewkesbury to Cotswold Designer Outlet and Tewkesbury town centre.

Improvements will be made to routes 606 and 801 too, thanks to funding from Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire County Councils and their Bus Service Improvement Plan.

Service 606 will now operate hourly between Cheltenham and Winchcombe and up to every two hours onwards from Chipping Campden. Service 801 will be extended on Sundays to Chipping Norton to match the Monday to Saturday service, with buses running every hour instead of every two hours, and meeting train services at Moreton-in-Marsh station for a car-free Cotswolds day out.

Passengers can cut the cost on their group ticket by entering the code SUMMERHOLS15 when purchasing tickets via the Pulhams app. The offer is limited to one discounted ticket per user. The ticket can be scanned in front of the QR reader next to the bus driver.
